It depends on the amount and currency. For small amounts, NALA and LemFi often win on rate with zero fees. For larger transfers, Wise’s low spread typically wins despite a small fixed fee. Banks (Equity, KCB) are generally the most expensive. Use the comparison table to see exactly for your specific amount.

M-Pesa Global is convenient (funds arrive directly to M-Pesa) and fee-free, but the exchange rate is typically 1.5–2% below the best available. For recipients who primarily use M-Pesa, the convenience may outweigh the rate difference for smaller amounts.
